Sat on a beach on a chilly September morning, the day after storm Ali had passed through awaiting the sunrise. Nothing but the sound of waves gently lapping at the shore & birds making their morning announcement in the woods behind me.

Cormorants & gulls heading out for the first hunt of the day soar across the empty blue sky and the rising sun hides behind a low bank of cloud.
Tentatively the sun peaks from behind the clouds and then it all happens suddenly; golden light spills across the red sand casting an auburn glow, the sea sparkles with the first rays of the sun, the sky turns an orangey-blue and the new day has begun.

I love this time of year - sunrise isn't too early! And we are beginning to see the start of Autumn. Stay tuned for more photo's.
