This week, I've had to scrape the ice off my car more times than I care to remember. It's at this point in the year when, as a wildlife photographer, I don't have to get out of bed too early but do have to wear an unnatural amount of layers.
With the forecast showing clear skies, it was looking to be perfect for a dawn shoot.
I headed down to Meadfoot beach in Torquay to capture the sunrise over the sea. Patience paid off as despite the cloud bank sitting on the horizon, the sun did eventually peek over the top, and beautiful autumnal light spilled over the sea towards the beach.
Gulls posed perfectly to have their photographs taken, I particularly like the gorgeous colour in this image.
